How deep should the water be? Will the pump stop if the water gets too low or will the motor burn out?
It is recommended to have a birdbath with a depth of at least 5 cm. It would be bad for the motor to continue pumping when there is no water, it will not stop automatically.

Depending on the mount and location, you can definitely hear it from 2m away.
